Aleksandr Michajlovitj Ovetjkin, född 17 september 1985 i Moskva i dåvarande Sovjetunionen, är en rysk professionell ishockeyspelare som enligt många anses vara en av de bästa målskyttarna genom tiderna. Han började spela ishockey när han var sju år och draftades som nummer 1 i första draftrundan av Washington Capitals 2004, men till följd av NHL-lockouten 2004–2005, kunde han inte debutera i sin nya klubb förrän 5 oktober 2005. Istället spelade han en extra säsong i sin moderklubb Dynamo Moskva.
